We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deck Cadet who, due to personal, medical, or other valid reasons, is currently unable to join a vessel. This role provides a unique shore-based opportunity to continue gaining maritime knowledge and contribute meaningfully to shore operations & training.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the technical/marine team in updating vessel documentation and compliance records.
Carry out shore gang boarding formalties.
Work on voyage planning, Hold Cleaning plan, and paperwork under supervision.
Contribute to training content and materials for other cadets and junior officers.
Participate in virtual meetings, training sessions, and simulations.
Provide administrative support for the marine department as needed.
Qualifications:
Completed or currently enrolled in a maritime academy as a Deck Cadet.
Basic understanding of navigation, seamanship and maritime safety principles.
Excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with shipboard operations.
Ideal Candidate:
A cadet unable to sail at present due to health, family, visa, or other constraints—but committed to remaining active in the maritime field.
Eager to stay connected with the industry and gain practical exposure to shore-based maritime operations.
