.UAE Based Shipping company is looking for 3rd mate/ 2nd mate for the below job scope.
All operational/post fixture matters for the Owned/Time/Voyage chartered dry bulk vessels.
Ship vetting, obtain vessel acceptance from the port authority/terminal & vessel nomination to Shippers/Receivers/Charterers.
Issuing Voyage Instructions to the vessel strictly in compliance with the C/P terms.
Appointment & coordination with the ship agents/stevedores/surveyors/port captains.
Appointment of weather routing agency, monitor vessel performance and manage speed & consumption claims.
Bunker Procurement – voyage planning & negotiating bunker purchases. Co-ordinate bunker operations with the suppliers & vessel.
Monitoring & executing financial transactions in time; i.e. freight & hire payments, bunker payments, port expenses, duty expenses, surveyor payments, other charges etc
Check & approve stowage plans to ensure maximum cargo lift.
Closely monitor and control the berthing plans, vessel port performance, cargo storage & transportation, port bunker consumption of vessel, load/discharge operations, stevedore gang deployment, ensure quick turnaround of vessels etc.
Prepare final hire statement and settlement with the vessel owners.
Prepare laytime statements & manage demurrage/despatch settlements with respective parties.
Ensure proper & timely documentation; Charter Party, SOF, Bill Of Lading Issuance, Switching B/L, LOI Issuance, Income Tax NOC, Freight Tax Exemption etc.
Handle all the documentation requirements for the traded cargoes; Commercial Invoice, Certificate of origin, Customs Documentation, TML certificate, Quality Analysis Reports, Bank documents etc.
Obtain PNI Cover for the vessel and traded cargoes. Cargo/Vessel claims handling, Correspondence with the PNI club & lawyers.
Prepare post voyage analysis / profitability report. Prepare performance analysis report of service providers. Implementing new tools to improve the operational efficiency.
